Summer is sadly coming to an end and along with it, BBQ season. Labor Day- the “unofficial” last day for grilling is inching closer, so why not end summer with a bang? Invite a couple of friends, crack open a few beers and try one (or more) of these dishes for under $7 each! Appetizer to dessert, these recipes will satisfy your grilling desire and leave your stomach – and your wallet – full.
So we’ve already told you about all of the other free concerts series the city is hosting this summer, but there’s more! The City Parks Foundation is presenting their free concert series at parks across the city.
Brooklyn’s Prospect Park is one of the best things the borough has to offer, next to Coney Island. The 585-acre park was designed by the same landscape architects as Central Park, making it an urban oasis far from any tourists or Gossip Girl wannabes.
Located in the heart of Brooklyn, Prospect Park blew me away when I first went to visit. I sat under a tree with a book in my hand and enjoyed my view of the Boathouse that sits on Prospect Park Lake. Before heading to the Boathouse, I marveled at the Carousel and how many families were taking advantage of the park’s open space.
