Partying in Manhattan can be quite the buzz kill when you realize that you’re going to have to down four of those $15 martinis just to get a nice buzz going. So, it’s nice to see that some bars are still pumping out great specials to help their patrons fade the memory of weeks past.

Here are 5 bar specials that will get you tanked (or pretty close to it) for twenty bucks.

Option 1. Arte Pasta

Special: $3 Frozen Daquiris and Cosmos. Your $20 will get you six frozen beverages of your choice and depending on the amount of vodka involved, a decent hangover the next morning. Although it’s nothing that a few cups of coffee and an Aleeve won’t cure. (81 Greenwich Avenue)

Option 2. Suspenders Bar and Grill

Special: Drop by on a Tuesday or Wednesday to partake of the $4 well drinks. If you’re of the female persuasion,  you’ll get a  2-for-1 special. In other words,  $20 gets you ten well drinks, slurred speech and probably a blackout. Fellas, you’re gonna have to make do on five drinks – or choose one of the other bars below. They also have $5 champagne every day from 4pm til Close. Unfortunately, for all of us midtown workers, you have to truck all the way to the Financial District to take advantage of the booze-a-thon. Option 3. Antarctica

Special: Every day Antarctica serves up  $5 well drinks and $7 shelf drinks in hefty 16oz pint glasses. So, basically, this is Suspenders with a better location and friendlier decor. Your $20 will get you four well drinks, and factoring in the large glasses, it’ll also get you pretty stinking drunk. (287 Hudson Street)

Option 4. Lips

Special: Swing by on a Monday and you’ll be treated to $2 margaritas (any style, any flavor); if you opt for Tuesday, $1 shots are the main attraction. In other words, your $20 nets a whopping ten margaritas on Monday, an incredible twenty shots on Tuesday, and a hangover that will certainly last til Friday. (2 Bank Street)

Rating on the cheap booze scale: 9 out of 10 (Bonus points for daily drag shows)

.

Option 5: Blue and Gold

Special: This is, without a doubt, the Mecca of cheap drinks. Everything is $3 across the board every single day of the week. This means that your $20 will get you six drinks on any given night, at any given time, for any given drink. Use the remaining $2 as part of the tip for your sure-to-be weary barkeep. (79 E. 7th Street)

Rating on the cheap booze scale: 10 out of 10 (For continuity)
