Michael Moore’s New Flick to Tackle the Global Financial Meltdown

In his last two theatrical documentaries, controversial filmmaker Michael Moore turned an accusing eye toward the health industry (Sicko) and the Bush administration (Fahrenheit 9/11), but he’s back to kick up some more dust with a currently untitled movie that will seek the cause of the financial flustercuck in which the world is suffering.

According to Slashfilm, the film will explore the “disastrous impact that corporate dominance and out-of-control profit motives have on the lives of Americans and citizens of the world” as well as “the biggest robbery in the history of this country – the massive transfer of U.S. taxpayer money to private financial institutions.”

The flick is scheduled to hit theaters on October 2, 2009, the same week that Moore’s Roger & Me debuted 20 years ago. And remember, if you catch it on a Wednesday at the Kent Theater, tickets are only $5.
