Vox Pop, a favorite Brooklyn coffee shop/bar/printing press, is hosting a NYE party for those of you who loathe cover charges and annoying idiots in sparkly party glasses.

This is sure to be a fun, relaxed event, considering that Vox usually houses a super nice, laid-back crowd of local Brooklynites. They’re also bound to have some excellent beer specials, and, the most important reason of all, Sander Hicks will be rocking out on the keyboard. And if your ears have never heard the wailing cries for democracy that croon out from the lovely owner’s lips, you truly have not lived.
