Free Sophia Ramos Concert at BAM Cafe

March 2, 2009 by Jeffrey L. Wilson

Sophia Ramos

Latin headbanging goddess, Sophia Ramos, brings her fiery hard rock to the Brooklyn Academy of Music this Saturday (March 7) in all of her over-the-top glory. The LifeStyler crew was first introduced to Ms. Ramos at last summer’s Afro-punk festival (a celebration of the Black rock/alternative scene) in Fort Greene Park, where she spun, danced, hollered, and whopped through a grinding multi-song set.

If you’re interested in a peep at Sophia Ramos, swing by the BAM Café located within the Pete J. Sharp building, 30 Lafayette Ave. Those coming by subway can take the 2,3,4,5, B or Q trains to Atlantic Ave, or the D, N, or R lines to Pacific St.

BONUS: Chuck Treese’s McRad and Dustbin Brothers are in the house!
