Looking for a good free show to fill in the evening’s schedule? Take the long trek out to Asser Levy Park — it’ll be worth it. Blondie, Pat Benatar and The Donnas are slated to take the stage tomorrow night at Brooklyn’s own Seaside Summer Concert Series.
And if previous shows are any indicator of how tonight will turn out, it’s going to be pretty awesome. From the Summer Concert Series’ page:
The last time the Donnas played my town, one of them ended up face down on the hood of a cop car, arms behind her back, handcuffs cutting off the circulation to her clenched fists.
I think we can all agree that musicians vs cops equal a good show — especially for a price tag of $0. As for seating, bring a blanket, your own lawn chair, or you can try to rent some of the limited $5 lawn chairs they’ll have there in a “special section”.
