Comedy Central Park: Free on Friday!

Get your dose of free laughs this Friday, June 19, in Central Park with the third annual “Comedy Central Park” show.  The free comedy show will take place at Central Park SummerStage and is headlined by Gabriel Iglesias, with special guest Pablo Francisco.

Iglesias, who calls himself “Fluffy Man,” was named Comedy Central’s Comedian of the Year in 2006 and recently was seen in his one-hour special “Hot and Fluffy.” Francisco, formerly of MADtv, has performed alongside Carlos Mencia and Freddy Soto, impressing crowds with his vocal impressions.

Doors open at 7pm and the comedians take the stage at 8pm. The first 3,000 attendees will receive a free, reusable shopping bag courtesy of Comedy Central’s pro-social initiative AddressTheMess. The network will also be collecting extra cell phones, iPods, PDAs, chargers and batteries to be recycled.
