You may remember our previous post on BillShrink, the immensely helpful website that recommends cheaper cell phone plans. It’s been updated to analyzes your 3G iPhone Plan to find the best rates and scouts out credit cards that are most beneficial to your spending habits. And although we recommend choosing the iPod Touch over the iPhone, we think their credit card analyzer is a pretty great tool. Like the cell phone plan analyzer, the credit card section asks you a series of questions about your spending habits, payment details, credit score and current credit card which it then analyzes to locate credit card deals that are more tailored to your spending and payment trends.
In order to gauge the best deals, BillShrink lets you input the following information into their system:
- Do you pay your credit card off each month?
- How much do you charge monthly?
- What is your credit score range?
- What is your existing balance
- How much do you pay monthly towards your balance?
It also asks for your current credit card and pulls that card’s basic information to compare to the other creditor’s deals.
After pulling this information, it gives you a detailed listing of credit cards that best fit with your usage – complete with graphs detailing the total costs of each card, the best deal over one, three, and five year periods, how much you’ll save compared to your current card. They also allow you to apply for cards directly through their site for easy accessibility.
